Hi! I am a Karen living in Los Angeles and the 50(s) have just hit me. Bam!
Me in a nutshell: I love all things bicycles, I’m obsessed with “Girls” (the tv show), and the “text machine” is what I call a mobile phone (for obvious reasons). I am an urban roamer, an #ilovestreetart picture-taker and a travel-freak… and sometimes I tweet. I eat healthy, need my exercise, relish sex, and love to dance. Music fills my soul and just can’t help but move my body (and frequently my vocal chords).
In addition to all that – I am a Master Googler!
For me, the last couple years have been a whirlwind of divorce, emptying-the-nest, selling the family home, purging stuff, losing a dog, a health scare, and finding myself jobless. I now feel stripped and untethered; learning again how to navigate the world as a single lady.
Even so, I am still that girl who has a lust for wonder, gets lost in imagination, and loves to explore… but this girl no longer is the cute little 20 year old sportin’ that bikini. This girl is the wise, confident, feeling sexy-year old who is now rockin’ a tankini!
So, the husband is gone, the kids are out of the house, the job is no more, and the bikini is in some landfill at some location where nobody never ever thinks about….so now what?
I have begun by saying “Yes”! …and I hope it’s infectious…
